Try entering a few 'dog name breeds' in your browser address bar like..... www.basenjis.co.uk ( but not the afghan names because they are 'pointing' to this web site ) ..... and see the benefit of using a 'dog name' to redirect net traffic to your web site - even though it will be your kennel name or affix domain name web site that it goes to ! These sort of domain names get hundreds of visitors without marketing or publicity - purely due to the generic words they contain.
Anyone on the net looking for an afghan hound for example, is more likely to search using the breed name which they know - as opposed to your name or affix - which they probably don't know !! Search engines and programmes like webferret will find these names quickly ( and therefore your site ) if they are registered domain web sites on the net !
